# MSRVS style guide

> The brand rules of the Model Steam Road Vehicle Society (MSRVS), a UK club for model traction engines and other steam road vehicles: colours, type, logos, photography, and how to apply them on the website, in print and on social media. Version 1.0.0. Every value comes from the design tokens: use them exactly, never approximations.

Essentials:

- Brand colours: steam blue #0B3A66, brass #E3B23C, cream #F6F1E6, deep steam blue #0A2A4A, night blue #071B30, dark brass #7F5B14, light brass #F1D79A, crimson lake #A12A2B.
- Type: headings in Source Serif 4 (600–700); body text in Inter (400–700).
- Everything that can be read reaches WCAG AA (4.5:1). Brass is never text on a light surface; use dark brass.
- Use the logo files as supplied. Never redraw, retype, recolour, stretch or crop them, or add effects. For one colour, use the one-colour mark.
- Text never goes straight onto a photo: lay the night-blue overlay over it first.
- British English, sentence case. Write "MSRVS" without full stops.
